Teacher of Primary (IB PYP)

Major Responsibilities:听听听听听
Inspiring children to learn.听听听听
Ensuring the creativity and high quality of teaching and learning of the class, assisted by a teaching assistant.听听听听听
Sharing responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances, trips and organizing some aspects of special events.听听听听听
Fostering a caring atmosphere and showing commitment to the well-being and social and academic progress of each pupil.听

Key Requirements:
University degree and a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, BEd, MEd).听听听听听
High Proficiency in English;听听听听听
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in IBPYP curriculum, ideally with experience in an international educational setting听听听听听
Experience in teaching second language learners听听听听听
Strong knowledge and/or experience in IB PYP curriculum framework听听听听听
Curriculum development knowledge听听听听听
Be inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills听听听听听
Be committed to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning听听听听听
Be collaborative and able to work as part of a team

General Requirements for International Teaching Positions

• Minimum Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in relevant subject area
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCE)
• Minimum two years experience of classroom teaching in mainstream education sector
• Previous experience of teaching the IB curriculum is preferred, high potential candidates without IB experience might听be considered
• Well-versed in various teaching resources including听digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
• Sensitivity to the cultural differences
• A willingness to听actively participate听in the academic enrichment and co-curricular programmes
